Of This I Am Sure

This artist book is made in accordion format. The 15 pages open up flat and can be viewed either page by page or in segments. The printed text is interleaved with printed imagery, the imagery is printed and is derived from hand-drawn drawings in ink, charcoal, pencil, and colored chalks.

I fell down through a hole and landed facing up on my back, facing up to the sky.

I saw my dead ancestor from hundreds of years ago, who returned my gaze.
He raised both hands to his face and, starting at his forehead, ran them slowly over his face,
disappearing as he did.

Did you hear the chirp of birds?
No.
Think.
Maybe. Yes, I think I did. But I don't know what kind.

I just implanted that thought in your mind.
