Lifeforms
Print on paper with printed text on top of the imagery. 24"x24". 2018
The poetry is printed on top of the imagery. The color of the text is very similar to the colors of the vegetation behind the text, camaflouging the text and making it extremely hard to read, thereby echoing the idea of tiny lifeforms we can only see with greatest difficulty. The poetry reads:
What lifeforms are there here that I can't even see?
So many, and I cannot see them.
Or hear them.
Small creatures in the bushes, in the reeds. In the molecules of the water.
In the cracks of the wall.
How small they are.
And I?
Looking back at our small blue globe from a distant star
how small am I,
is all this.
