Young Person, Cane, Conflict

Storyboard a short scene that involves:

A) a young person. (It can be a young man or a young woman)

B) a cane

The goal of this scene is to show or introduce some conflict using those two elements. The conflict can be anything of your choosing -- an internal conflict, an environmental conflict, conflict with another character in the story, etc.

Think of this scene as one scene in a larger story. The audience doesn't know that larger story. You are only storyboarding and we are only seeing, this one short scene. But your scene must deal somehow with some sort of conflict within the story. It could be that this is where the audience is first introduced to the conflict. Or it could be that the conflict has already been established earlier and we are now seeing a further development of the conflict.

The young person and the cane may be, if you wish, the only two elements in the entire scene. Alternatively, you may add other elements -- other props, other characters, a specific environment.

Use any combination of cinematic storytelling devices to make your scene interesting -- sound effects, music, lighting, framing, camera angles, still camera, moving camera, color palette, pacing, etc. Make sure you show or introduce the conflict you have decided on, but make sure also that the audience is very, very interested.
