Classroom Research Presentation & Paper

Decide on a research topic relevant to your thesis project research. This may overlap and/or duplicate one or more of your research blog entries. Note: This presentation is NOT about your own project. It should be relevant to your project, but it is not about your project. It is about the topic(s) you have researched.

Prepare a short, approximately 10-minute presentation for the class.  For your presentation, the document you create may be in any format you choose – Pdf, Powerpoint, Flash, etc. Do not limit yourself to factual information. Talk about why this work is significant and why it is of interest to you.  Prepare accompanying visuals and text materials to show during your presentation. Allow an additional 10 minutes for the discussion of your presentation -- that is, 10 minutes to present + 10 minutes to discuss. Prepare at least two questions for the class to help stimulate discussion if necessary.

Put a PDF version of your presentation on your blog page. This PDF may be in the form of bullet-points, or an outline. It does not have to be a formally developed paper. It should include relevant images and links.
