Clouds

I made these drawings as part of a handmade artist book. Media include charcoal, pastels (both soft and oil), graphite, pencil, Conte chalks, watercolors. Sizes of drawings range from approximately 20" wide to 40" wide.
The drawings are of clouds without anything other than clouds included in the frame -- no horizon line, no trees, no earth, nothing to reference the clouds -- simply and solely clouds. The insubstantial, ever-changing, and ever-dissipating nature and beauty of these formless forms fascinates me.
