Video
In the center of the mural, a small video screen plays a combination of live and pre-recorded video. The imagery of the video consists of people walking by, talking, going about their daily lives. This imagery overlaps and blends with images of other people. Sometimes, as someone in the video moves, a ghost image of them is created temporarily and follows them on the screen
At the same time, a camera hidden within the mural wall captures live video of viewers and passersby near the mural. If no one is present near the hidden video camera, the video screen plays only the pre-recorded video described above. When a viewer comes closer to the hidden video camera, software detects their presence, captures video of them, and combines it with the pre-recorded video already playing on the screen. In this way, the viewers and passersby themselves become part of the mural.
After the Shockwave file downloads, a 1.7mb movie will download and then play automatically.
The movie simulates the mixing of live video with pre-recorded video. The man with glasses who walks into the frame represents live video of a viewer in front of the mural.
