
These sculptures were inspired by visits to the stone circle structures of prehistoric Ireland. Like their larger and better-known cousin in England, Stonehendge, these were circular arrangements of large vertical stones, inside of which it is presumed religious rites took place.
The maquettes were created first in clay, wire and aluminum. These were then cast into wax, and from the wax a mold for the final bronze model was created.
