This set of events included a guest lecture to the entire department, an afternoon of individual critiques with several graduate students, and a one-person exhibition of some of my artwork. The title of the lecture was "Fifty Years, Still Thinking" and focused on ways one's artwork both changes and remains the same over the course of a lifetime of thinking and working as an artist. The exhibition focused on artworks made of and about paper and included recent handmade artist books and paper sculptures, as well as earlier prints and murals, with all of this work incorporating my lifelong interest in drawing. A mini-retrospective, this exibition spanned works from as early as 1970 (virtual interactive sculptures done as a young MFA student) up to my most recently completed artist book, I Am a Beam.
