Starting in 1974 my early sculpture was in traditional media. In 1978 I began programming real-time 3d interactive sculptures.
In the late 1980's my sculptural interests shifted to large-scale monumental sculptures and I made many series of models (maquettes) for these, using both traditional and digital media. These works included several series of paper and wire maquettes and scuptures, as well as one fullsize interactive sculpture done in collaboration with Liubo Borrisov. All of these works involved imagery printed on the surfaces of the sculptures. Most also included interactive and multimedia elements.
In the early1990's I also did several series of sculptural works for the artist, Frank Stella.
The most recent sculptural models are for large-scale paper sculptures intended to be displayed outdoors. Some of these include multimedia and interactive elements. All include printed (or enameled) imagery on the sculptural surfaces.
